Bleak House Readalong

Ah, the beauty of having cut back on the number of books I'm accepting for review these days - I have time to join in with readalongs! Wallace of Unputdownables is hosting a readalong in March, April and May of Charles Dickens' Bleak House. I've been wanting to read this one for a long time (I even gave it a try for a couple of weeks last year). I'm happy to have the push to read it and others to discuss it with. If you'd like to join the group, head on over to the sign up post and check out the rules and the schedule. I hope you'll consider joining us!

  1. I am considering it if I can make some time! I love Dickens and want to read all of his stuff at some point!

  2. I still have a lot of books for review, but I'm still doing this read-a-long. I've been wanting to read it for years. Glad we'll be embarking on this Dickens journey together. =O)

  3. Oh man!! I JUST downloaded Oliver Twist on audible. BUT I have another credit and a hard copy of the book so maybe I'll download this one as well. You know I love a good readalong and it's been far too long since I joined. Thanks for letting me know as I don't read Wallace's blog.

Guess this means I need to get cracking on In the Garden. Maybe I'll be able to get some MUCH NEEDED deep cleaning done or gardening done while listening. ;)

  4. Well now not so sure. Those rules are INTENSE. Definitely not a casual readalong!

  5. Ohhh...this is one that I have never read either so maybe I will have to check it out! I haven't been accepting many ARC's lately either. It's nice to finish a book and think...hmmm, what should I read next?

  6. Good luck! I always had a hard time reading Dickens... he always seems to use more words than necessary :)

  7. Lisa, after reading this post, I've decided to give it a go. I've never read any Dickens and think this will be a great place to start. Plus, I've been agreeing to all of Wallace's read alongs and then giving up on them, so I have to follow through with one the books (and this one is it!). Looking forward to reading along with you ;)
