First Book of 2018!

Sheila, of Book Journey, is once again hosting First Book Of The Year; and I am, once again, slow to post!

Although, clearly, I took my picture bright and early this morning, before hairbrush and makeup and still wearing my nightgown (ok, let's be honest, I have been known to wear my pj's well into the afternoon, on occasion). And, yes, I know I was meant to have read this book by the end of 2017. But...best laid plans and all that. So, my first book of 2018 will be Thomas Hardy's Far From The Madding Crowd!

  1. At least you got your post up. :-) You look beautiful, regardless. I still haven't decided what my first book will be. I'm in the middle of Wicked City at the moment, which will be my first finished book this year. I started it in 2017 though so can't count it. :-( I hope you continue enjoying Far From The Madding Crowd!

  3. I read Tess in high school and absolutely loved it. I've been meaning to read more from Hardy ever since but somehow have never managed it. I might have to add Far From the Madding Crowd to my list for 2018 - and I've been known to wear pajamas far into the afternoon too. I wonder about people who never do that kind of thing!

  6. Good luck and Happy New Year! I've had my first book for this year (#3 in Neapolitan Quartet by Elena Ferrante) in my possession for three years, I think, and am finally getting to it!
