After two of them and well into the third, I can only wish Larsson had had a better editor!<br />Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05554217416500328610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-48009511998528843202016-05-02T17:39:23.498-05:002016-05-02T17:39:23.498-05:00I really enjoyed this one--I read the print versio...I really enjoyed this one--I read the print version. Too much unnecessary detail. I must be weird, because I actually enjoyed all of the details about the food, furniture, street names.Paulanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-11649566016887318722016-04-27T08:07:32.934-05:002016-04-27T08:07:32.934-05:00Definitely sounds like way too much detail. I think if I do read this one I'll go the print book route. Being able to recreate her apartment in its entirety is bad enough. I don't need to have her turn into a not so tough Cockney girl as well!Katherine Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12126062556416434416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-58452808355874003822016-04-27T07:42:26.345-05:002016-04-27T07:42:26.345-05:00Exactly! I probably wouldn't have made it through if it weren't on audio in the car - nothing else to do. The only thing that would have been easier on paper were the characters' names. They sounded so similar that it was confusing. If I saw the names in print I would have mispronounced at least one of them in my head, and kept them straight. <br /><br />I did listen to #2, but don't remember if the detail level was the same.
