Certainly, age plays a factor. We typically know more and are more comfortable with who we are when we are a tad older, but we are also a bit more resilient in college aren't we?

I haven't read this one. The cover made me think it was a bit chick-litty.Tihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926060806244061354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-27733642864536020912010-07-08T23:38:17.349-05:002010-07-08T23:38:17.349-05:00Don't you love it when books and life intersec...Don't you love it when books and life intersect like that? Too bad you hadn't read this BEFORE your book club though - it would have given you even more to talk about.

Thanks for being a part of the tour!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-49332351511608982682010-07-07T18:12:51.436-05:002010-07-07T18:12:51.436-05:00I read about this book last year, maybe, and thoug...I read about this book last year, maybe, and thought the concept sounded interesting but never got around to picking it up. Sometimes books with too many characters are hard because they don't get enough space, so I'm glad this one works.

And funny coincidence between real life discussions and book topics -- I love when that happens.Kim (Sophisticated Dorkiness)http://sophisticateddorkiness.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-47158048136651358452010-07-07T14:55:01.738-05:002010-07-07T14:55:01.738-05:00I had the same thought - wondering what the charac...I had the same thought - wondering what the characters might have done differently if they'd been a little older when they paired up. I also think it's a better idea to wait until you are a little bit older to find a life partner. I think back to the time I was twenty three, and have to say, If I married the man I was with during that period of my life, I would not be living as happily as I am now!! Great review! You really got me thinking...about a lot of things!Zibileehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05857638467064749190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-30724233476912330052010-07-07T09:00:08.419-05:002010-07-07T09:00:08.419-05:00I've got this one on my shelves. Your review has really increased my interest!

Regarding when someone should pick their spouse, my best friends 22-yr-old nephew just got married a month ago and that seems so, so young. They dated in college, but knew each other from high school. I think I agree that a bit later is better, but my parents married at 22 and 41 years later are still going strong. Maybe it's more about your commitment to your choices than anything else?Literate Housewifehttp://literatehousewife.comnoreply@blogger.com
