I tend to keep their blogs in my Google Reader if they're still at least working links in hopes that someday they'll return but some of them it's been over three years now! You're right--as we become more and more connected we can't just disappear without a word! I know that SD Lisa would hunt me down if I did that. ;)

Oh I bet your book club will be fascinating with the different generations. My grandmother read and loved Unbroken but I know that it was a difficult read for her as my grandfather flew the same planes that Louie did--although he was in the European theater rather than Pacific. I really look forward to your thoughts.Trish @ Love, Laughter, Insanityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17225576485797030511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-12664686842204960962012-09-18T10:26:54.928-05:002012-09-18T10:26:54.928-05:00You are in a reading slump, and I am in a writing ...You are in a reading slump, and I am in a writing slump! We'd make a good pair if we had a joint blog.

I just don't feel like reviewing the books I've read right now. Maybe because they weren't stellar reads.

I have never heard of that blog before but it's weird to me when a blog just disappears. I've often wondered if I need to elect someone to back me up if something happened to me. At least just to let everyone know what was up. The lesser times can be a real bear. I want to read, but the motivation just isn't there. I usually turn to other things until the phase passes--like writing my mother. LOL It sucks when it lasts a long time.

I don't know what happened with Stephanie. :-( I'm always sad when bloggers stop blogging without warning. I do hope she's okay. I am also surprised to hear that one of your favorite blogs was deleted. That has happened to me on more than one occasion, and I can understand your want to have people say goodbye. If I ever decided to quit blogging I would certainly make sure that my friends knew unless of course, it was something out of my control.

I'm with you in regards to the reading slump. Life at work has been overwhelming due to losing a secretary in the office and now I'm covering in there, working my library, helping with 700+ iPads, and just basically going, going, going all day long. By the time I come home, get dinner done, correct papers for a teacher...I am whipped!!!

Hang in there...we will rebound!! :DStacihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07600979915661464945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-87580162965687008092012-09-16T17:30:08.125-05:002012-09-16T17:30:08.125-05:00I know my reading has slowed in the past few weeks...I know my reading has slowed in the past few weeks now that I've gotten busy. I just don't want to sit down with a book until I crawl into bed, and when I do that, I can only read for 30 minutes or so. I'm sure that feeling will come back again for both of us. In the meantime, we need to enjoy some of our other favorite activities.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02160951421693455864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-33329639423063082182012-09-16T16:57:57.415-05:002012-09-16T16:57:57.415-05:00I've been in a slump for most of this year. I think at times like this, the best thing I can tell myself is to listen to my head and body. If it's not in mood, I try not to push it. I've been going back to my comfort zone genre which is crime mystery. I'm still reading Paganini's Ghost- Paul Adam - set in Italy and learning something new along the way about violin-making and restoring and antique dealing.
Have a good week, Lisa!
