I've even got a pasta machine but it takes so long to do that I've only used it a couple of times!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05554217416500328610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-53881911368716243492014-09-16T19:19:04.206-05:002014-09-16T19:19:04.206-05:00I just finished The School of Essential Ingredient...I just finished The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister in audio and absolutely loved it. I can't get to The Lost Art of Mixing. I also really enjoyed Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good and hope you do too. I'll have to look for your reviews of the others and I'm always looking for a foodie book but haven't heard of any of these.Katherine Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12126062556416434416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-21029157113490641192014-09-16T15:17:53.231-05:002014-09-16T15:17:53.231-05:00Yes, it is definitely the season for soup! I love cooking in the fall--I make soups and casseroles and quick bread and chili and all the stuff I don't make in the summer because of the heat.

I loved Chocolat and have wanted to read more by Joanne Harris, but haven't yet. I'll be eager to see what you think of her book as well as the others on your list.JaneGShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11094501834387622997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-35849964709226140822014-09-15T21:18:57.888-05:002014-09-15T21:18:57.888-05:00I'm getting antsy to bake bread, though it'...I'm getting antsy to bake bread, though it's not nearly cool enough here yet.

I'm currently reading Kitchen Confidential and it has me looking at restaurants/kitchens in a whole new light. I listened to a radio story on The Language of Food: A Linguist Reads The Menu and it's up next on my non-fiction list.Lizzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05992040224578840160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-72692779610675150482014-09-15T12:25:35.972-05:002014-09-15T12:25:35.972-05:00I have Animal Vegetable Miracle to read as well. I'm in the middle of Ruth Reichl's novel, Delicious, and enjoying it quite well. I've read her nonfiction and am pleased to say that she is also a very good novelist. Thanks for the reminder about Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. I downloaded it to my Nook over a year ago and still haven't made time to read it!Leshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08345657431432380804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-71017584540055818352014-09-15T05:37:19.475-05:002014-09-15T05:37:19.475-05:00among other things we love Italian cooking, so I w...among other things we love Italian cooking, so I would have to say my favourite cookbook is "Marcella Cucina" by Marcella Hazan.Alhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15625543235578144620noreply@blogger.com
