So sorry that this one fell flat....but applause for you in trying to clean up those older review copies!Stacihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07600979915661464945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-87008395588213440452012-02-08T20:14:37.184-06:002012-02-08T20:14:37.184-06:00This was one of my first books for review as well....This was one of my first books for review as well. I wasn't terribly impressed either. It did fall flat. The parts in Europe were interesting but didn't drive the rest of the novel forward at all.

I'm doing the same thing with my review copies - trying to get to those books I've had forever. It is actually a great sense of accomplishment to cross them off the list!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02160951421693455864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-32026221732180561372012-02-08T18:55:06.304-06:002012-02-08T18:55:06.304-06:00I'll probably skip this one since I don't ...I'll probably skip this one since I don't read much historical fiction. Often I read books that I feel would have benefited by more strenuous editing, and I can see that this book would probably fall into that category. I am glad that you reviewed it and shared your thoughts, as I had not heard much about it before.
