I am afraid my memory is not so good at remembering which movies feature fictional bookstores--other than what's already been mentioned anyway. I love the little shop in Notting Hill. :-)Literary Felinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13079276242303738719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-84573831601426328822012-07-16T13:36:06.787-05:002012-07-16T13:36:06.787-05:00I loved this post..libraries fascinate me and I wa...I loved this post..libraries fascinate me and I wanted to own the bookstore in Notting Hill!!! Sigh.

I'm glad you are feeling better about the reviewing and blogging. It's not fun to feel guilty over the books we choose not to review. I rarely feel guilty. Especially if the book is just horrible and it ends up being a DNF.Tihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926060806244061354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-61054937769855348922012-07-15T19:49:40.333-05:002012-07-15T19:49:40.333-05:00There is, of course, You've Got Mail -- Shopgi...There is, of course, You've Got Mail -- Shopgirl fights the big, impersonal bookstore that sells coffee with it's literature.

Also, Harry Potter has Flourish and Botts. The book of invisibility costs quite a lot, though is never to be found.terihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05095349422849979251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-32275877829185109982012-07-15T18:44:17.618-05:002012-07-15T18:44:17.618-05:00I think there is a Kathryn Hepburn movie where she...I think there is a Kathryn Hepburn movie where she manages the research dpt at a library... I can think of lots of thriller/mystery movies and tv dramas where libraries are used as part of the plot (research) etc. What about the Reading Room of the London Library in 'Possession' adaptation of A.S. Byatt's novel. 'The Name of the Rose' novel and film. Anita Brookner's character, Claire Pitt, in her novel,'Undue Influence', works in the basement of a second-hand bookshop.
Glad the reading is going well. I'm half way through your recommendation, 'My Dear, I wanted to tell you' - Louisa Young and then I have a book group read 'The Small Island' - Andrea Levy.Linda Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10634839688042592781noreply@blogger.com
