I get chills all the time thinking that I'm running on the same trails the soldiers walked on). I have learned so much about George since moving to 'Washington Valley'... 100 acres between Mendham and Morris Township (aboutu 5 miles from Jockey Hollow). I bet the book is much like a textbook.

Have you read 1776? It's very good. I might reread this one.

Reading your comment about mini-me made me cry - I miss AWP so much and won't get to see him until winter break.

Can't wait to hear you thoughts on 'The Girls'... there is a slow part in the middle.mpartykahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09058880500554363163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-92137538172050315342010-10-04T14:45:10.322-05:002010-10-04T14:45:10.322-05:00I didn't get much reading done last week, but ...I didn't get much reading done last week, but I hope to make up for it this week!bermudaonionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10726401178972099557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-73969056113480069742010-10-04T14:01:53.866-05:002010-10-04T14:01:53.866-05:00I feel really bad that I never actually finished T...I feel really bad that I never actually finished To Kill a Mockingbird during th emonth of July like I promised. I haven't finished a book since August! So pitiful. Hoping to finish at least one or two this weekend of the readathon.

Isn't the cooler weather divine? I read the book long ago in middle school but had forgotten most of it. Spacek's reading is just magnificent -- she really brought the novel to life. I've never seen the movie, but I probably should!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-74288731029282937882010-10-04T08:59:46.208-05:002010-10-04T08:59:46.208-05:00I'm reading Lady's Maid and it's slow ...I'm reading Lady's Maid and it's slow but nicely captivating. THEN I want to dive into Hermione Lee's Virginia Woolf bio (at almost 800 pages!) and then Woman in White. I'll be lucky to get through all these by the end of the month. LUCKY. I get so intimidated by long books... oh, and I'm listening to Frankenstein for RIP. :)Carehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06478474870247729611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7605456781483914021.post-84414784661722232112010-10-04T07:33:14.695-05:002010-10-04T07:33:14.695-05:00It really is time for me to dust of my copy of To ...It really is time for me to dust of my copy of To Kill a Mockingbird and give it another go.
