Dewey's Read-a-thon 3 Hours In

It's probably a bad thing to get only five hours sleep before commencing with something that lasts 24 hours. It's even worse to wake up with an excruciating headache. So I read for an hour,
then slept for an hour. I woke up almost headache free and have now gotten another hour of reading done and I've finished my first book, "The Last Beach Bungalow" by Jennie Nash. Really, really enjoyed this book and was surprised by it. What a great way to start the day! I've got another Nash book in my stack and I can't wait to get to it but I think I need to mix things up.

Now I'm headed off to see what everyone else has been reading!

Books Finished: 1
Pages Read: 180

  1. Hello Lisa! I do hope you get some rest. Earlier I had migraine so I slept for a bit and thank goodness it stopped before the Read-a-Thon started.

Have fun reading the rest of the day!

  2. Congratulations on your first book and I am glad you are feeling better. It is good to remain flexible during the 24 hours because you never know what will come up. Happy continued reading!

  4. I hate waking up with a headache! The only way that I can get rid of them is to sleep. Glad you are feeling better.

  7. Get some rest before reading up again- no need to hurt yourself for reading. It's probably a lot nicer to read without feeling ill :-)

  9. Great, you decided to participate!
It's hard to read when you are tired but cat naps are a great help!

Have fun & enjoy your reading Lisa!

  12. Hope your headache goes away...

You are doing great. I got a little thrown off schedule this am, but I’m back on track now. Keep up the good work!

I will surely need a nap a bit later unless, I walk around the house constantly until I fall over from exhaustion...LOL
