Why no, no I have not finished one single book in the past two weeks. These two biggies are killing me! Now that I'm caught up with The Goldfinch, I'll finally be able to finish Outlander but The Goldfinch is getting set aside for a while to read a book for a scheduled review. So, maybe next week I'll actually have two reviews!
It's a good week to have no reviews. I did three and have had zero comments! People must not be in the mood for them!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your review of The Goldfinch. I haven't got very far with it as it's not capturing my attention as I had hoped. I'm going to set it aside also as another reserved book is ready to pick up from the library. The Goldfinch might go back to the library half read.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat. East of Eden is over 600 pages. None of that James Patterson stuff with 2/3 white margins and empty space, but full pages! ;) At least I have time to catch up on some older reviews, although I'm enjoying my book so much, I hate to take any time away from it to compose posts.
ReplyDeleteI know, those biggies are killers! The interesting thing to me is that blogging sort of discourages delving into them, which is a shame!
ReplyDeleteLOL ... and Middlemarch is killing me ;-)
ReplyDeleteTwo chunksters at the same time, will do that to you. Can't wait to hear what you think about Goldfinch. I have it, but won't be starting it anytime soon. I made a promise to myself to get through my abandoned ARC list. Why? Because Little Brown declined my request for a book I really wanted to read and I think it's because I have three Little Brown titles that I have yet to review.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I cannot read two chunksters at once. That would kill me and take me to a rut. Hope you are loving both!
ReplyDeleteI loved the Goldfinch. Outlander-- left me a bit flat.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some big books to get through. I look forward to hearing your thoughts though. I think Suey is right, not much commenting, maybe people are on Spring Break! :)
